ARC-STR-0001 — THE BEACON

FIRST CONFIRMED STRUCTURE

The Beacon was the first confirmed artificial structure associated with the Pattern.

It was discovered by rover reconnaissance after orbital measurements narrowed the search region. As the rover approached the site, the Pattern changed subtly, measurably, and repeatedly.

No message was detected.

DISCOVERY

The search did not begin with the structure itself.

The Pattern had already appeared across different experimental media. Its correlation with Mars became increasingly difficult to dismiss.

Orbital measurements narrowed the region of interest. A rover was directed toward the site.

The structure was found there.

OBSERVATIONS

The Beacon does not correspond to any known natural formation.

Its presence coincides with measurable changes in the Pattern.

Those changes were repeatable during the rover’s approach.

No conventional transmission, encoded message, or recognizable communication was detected.

INTERPRETATION

The designation “Beacon” is descriptive, not explanatory.

There is currently no evidence that the structure was intended to communicate with humans, guide them, warn them, or attract their attention.

Its function remains unknown.

What can be stated is narrower:

The structure exists.

The Pattern responds in its presence.

The relationship between them remains under study.
